Sat Aug 26 – Summers on fire baby and we continue to bring the heat and take no prisoners, as The South London Soul Train presents a very special show with an extraordinary band! Straight Outta Norway comes Afro, Psych, Funk & Disco Hybrids, the well unique and highly infectious FLAMMER DANCE BAND (Live). The 7 piece band bringing their own unmistakable Flammer Dance Band sound to the SLST live stage for an epic 90 minute set across outta audio space via South East London. With DJ JAZZHEADCHRONIC handling the beats, breaks and positive upbeat soundtrack, you know that you’re in for one almighty good time.

Flammer Dance Band is a 7 piece Norwegian psychedelic funk extravaganza energized by the funky sounds of the 70´s. Hypnotic rhythms, Bouncing bass, vibrating synths, dancing guitars and spiritual sax trips. A raw, impulsive and ever-changing live experience!

In 2023 Flammer teamed up with legendary Ghana funk artist “Rob” for a 2 week European tour, playing tracks from Rob’s amazing two first LPs, “Make It Fast” (1978) and “Funky Rob Way” (1977).

Then in ROOM 2, Time to enter the REACH UP DISCO WONDERLAND. Legendary DJs ANDY SMITH & NICK HALKES dropping 80’s boogie, soul, funk, disco and proto house, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as ‘Paradise Garage’ & ‘Studio 54’. A night highlighting the sounds that emerged as the 70’s, turned into the 80’s and the DNA of club music as we know it today was being written. The dance floor awaits

The South London Soul Train 3 room line up completed in the sweetly renovated (2 level) ROOM 3 (THE SOUL & FUNK PIT) – Where it’s all about the Soul, Funk and Motown of it all. Your Soul & Funk pit host, Mukatsuku records founder / head honcho and SLST regular NIK WESTON drops old school and classic soul like rain for daze, dance like thunder. Righteous uptempo soul monsters righteously delivered, ALL NIGHT LONG!

The South London Soul Train (as always) All rooms, taking all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Brass, Breaks, Bop and Hop to Motown, Club Classics and Anthems.

However – Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this one’s for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.
