“London’s grassroots music scene is absolutely vital to the city’s reputation as the music capital of the world. These venues nurture the talent of tomorrow and help emerging artists to develop their technique. The Mayor and I are absolutely committed to ensuring London’s live music venues thrive – that’s why he introduced Agent of Change into the draft London Plan and why he launched Sounds Like London – to champion London’s grassroots music venues. Fightback London will shine a light on amazing venues around the capital, encouraging audiences – both old and new – to attend a gig, and support the capital’s grassroots music venues.”
